Point Breeze North

Home to entrepreneurs George Westinghouse and Henry J. Heinz, Point Breeze North might seem out of place, surrounded as it is by the depressed neighborhoods of Larimer, Homewood West, Homewood South, and the depressed borough of Wilkinsburg. Much becomes clear, however, when one considers that Point Breeze North has its own neighborhood association whose stated purpose is to "...protect and improve the neighborhood for our families and for future generations...", and the fact that it is bordered to the north by the old Pennsylvania Railroad line, providing an illustration of the history of the phrase "the wrong side of the tracks".
